Alternativen: Threema oder Jabber-Client

Ich nutze es bis jetzt zwar noch nicht (mir fehlt noch die Kreditkarte zum Bezahlen), aber ganz interessant finde ich Threema als Alternative zu WhatsApp:

Was ich aber sehr wohl schon nutze ist ein Jabber(XMPP)-Client.
Es ist ein offener Standard, dezentral, Verschlüsselung (z.B. OTR) und Chat-Räume (MUCs) sind problemlos möglich.
Außerdem bin ich nicht dazu verdammt am winzigen Smartphone herumzuwischen, sondern kann es parallel(!) auch am heimischen PC nutzen. :-)
